Health & Safety benefits
Powerboss Eluma delivers substantial benefits over conventional systems which will help enhance the Health and Safety assessment of any facility. Even where the integral "sensor-controlled" auto-shut off or dimming of Eluma luminaires is implemented, the adjustability the solution will avoid any potential health and safety issues.
When fittings have switched off automatically, owing to non-occupancy, as a worker or fork-lift reaches one light fitting, the next fitting along has already "seen" that operative and switched on instantly. In this way no one is ever moving into darkness.
One common question also relates to operatives moving from areas of light into dark; i.e. through a doorway into a dark warehouse. If there is such a concern in a given facility, the setback feature of Eluma can be employed for those luminaires positioned behind the entry doors into the facility. Therefore when no one is present, the given lamps will dim but not switch off completely, giving enough light for someone entering the area ahead of the fitting automatically switching to full power.
Emergency Lighting Solution
For those facilities where an emergency lighting solution is required, an agreed proportion of Powerboss Eluma fittings can be supplied with an integral emergency pack. This provides emergency lighting in specified areas for 3 hours and to a UK/EU standards level.
